Advent and Lenten

Weekly reflection and discussion programs.

Alpha

Series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian Faith through discussion, food and videos.

Altar Cloths, Vestments and Robes

Laundering of altar clothes, vestments and robes.

Altar Servers

Support your children who are interested in Altar Serving. New Altar Servers are trained annually.

Babysitting

Assist with children at events such as Baptism Preparation and Playgroup.

Baptism Preparation "Belonging"

A new Sacramental Program to prepare parents in rising their child in the Catholic Faith. Saturday afternoons, once per month.

Catechists for Sacramental Programs

Catechists assist to prepare children attending Catholic and non-Catholic schools for the reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation, First Penance/Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Catholic Goods Shop

Religious items, including a selection of rosaries, jewellery, cards, medals and gifts. Open after weekend Masses at St Augustine's & St Francis Xavier Churches.


Chapel Guardians

Our Parish is blessed to have a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel 24hours from 6am Mondays to 11am Saturdays. Chapel Guardians join a roster for one hour per week. Temporary guardians are always needed to fill in the vacancies when guardians are away.

Children's Liturgy

Leading worship and prayer of the Liturgy of the Word for primary school age children. During Sunday morning 8am St Augustine's Church Mass & 9am St Francis Xavier Church.

Choirs and Music

There are 3 choirs for St Augustine's Church, Coffs Harbour, and 1 choir for St Francis Xavier Church, Woolgoolga. Practice times are before the Mass for which they are responsible.

Ecumenical initiative of the Anglican, Catholic and Uniting Churches of the City of Coffs Harbour.

Finance Council

The Council oversights the temporal goods of the Parish ensuring decisions that are made to do with those goods are made on sound principles. Also assures the assets of the Parish are protected and maintained, and those assets are used for the benefit of the Parish community. Contact: Parish Office


Gardening and Lawn Mowing

Keep our gardens blooming.

Home Communion

Ministers taking Holy Communion to the sick and elderly who are unable to attend Mass. Training is provided.

Hospital Visitations

Visitation of the patients in Coffs Harbour Health Campus and Baringa Private Hospital.

Latin Mass

Missa Canta Sung Latin Mass. Learn Gregorian chant, male Altar Servers wanting to be trained to serve in the Latin Mass and morning tea helpers.

Playgroup - Augusti

Our St Augustineís Parish Playgroup runs weekly on Tuesdays (during school terms) at the Curran Centre between 10am-12:30pm.
We invite children from babies to preschool age.
It is a fantastic opportunity to meet with other parents and carers,  make friends, play, have fun all while learning important social skills in relaxing and supportive environment. It allows time for parents & guardians to share their experiences, faith, ideas and to support one another as well as foster community spirit and assists social networks. Our playgroup offers a happy place for the families where they could feel welcome and engaged.
This is an exciting venture so please come and have fun with your child!

Youth Group - BasicGift

Brothers and Sisters in Christ growing in faith together - fellowship for teenagers. The group meets after St Augustine's Church Sunday Evening Mass. Young people fellowship with one another through food, games, talks, activities, prayers and discussion.
